So I have this pair of gold head gobies. Is there a way to tell which is male and which is female? Typically I would guess the larger one with the brighter colored head is the male? I’m planning on feeding copepods regularly and my substrate is a few inches deep so I hope they’re happy. I’m not necessarily trying to get them to breed now I guess I’m just curious in case I would want to try it in the future. I know gobies can be quite fussy. How do I know if they’re especially happy? Anyone have any tips for them? Most of the stuff I’ve read is that gold head gobies in particular are difficult to keep because they’re fussy eaters. Thanks in advance!

With many gobies that form monogamous pairs my impression is that the larger one is the female.
