So I purchased a gold and while stripe maroon clownfish today. The white stripe is 2/3 the size of the gold stripe maroon.

The gold stripe maroon was paired with a smaller gold stripe at the LFS. Both were in excellent condition, not fighting and looked great. However I didn't like the color complexion of the smaller one which I assume was the male.

The white stripe maroon was by himself at a different LFS and looked great! Got him because it looked younger and I assumed it would have a greater chance of being a male sunset it was younger and alone.

I introduced the white stripe first to the QT tank followed by the gold (5 mins later) after simultaneously acclimating for two hours. They look to be getting along just fine. No chasing, nipping. They are spending a lot of time together and the bigger of the two hovers over the smaller one. I was wondering if aggression is shown later or is it shown immediately between these guys.

They will be going into a 90 gallon tank that is currently cycling and will be 2 of 5 fish that I plan on getting. The other fish I will later add will be a small yellow tang, a flame angel and a wrasse (did I spell that right?).

Any

They are stunning. :)

It's a pretty good start, only time will tell for sure.

Thanks. Here's what they've been doing for the past three hours.

I forgot to mention that they're in there with a yellow watchman and a pistol shrimp. Haven't shown any aggression towards either of them.

The yellow watchman and shrimp will be going into another nano tank.

I agree, time will tell. Once they are in the main tank they may begin to show agression, but more likely to other tank mates while they are claiming their territory.
