I'll move it back tomorrow, thank youDoesn't look like much water movement there, is it because he's closed up.
Give it a day or 2 then move back if thats an option.
I'll take the phosguard out now. I was having problems with green algae. Its gone now, but the brown diatoms are still coming back.^agree and also with the increase of phosphates you should be good
There is a chiller on the tank, its stays between 77 and 78. Should I lower it some more?if its Australian, their native water temp is 77 or less.
That should be ok.There is a chiller on the tank, its stays between 77 and 78. Should I lower it some more?
Yes, I have Hannah's, salient for MAG and cheap APIs. The hanna checker was saying the phospates were 0.00 ppm. The tank has been up for a year. The torch was doing well until I started trying to lower the phospates. Now I the phosphates and red algae to a minimum, but everytime I change the water the brown (diatoms) come back. I also have been dosing macobacter 7.I was having the same issues with my torches but I recently bought a test to help understand my water more. Do you have any test?
Ph this morning was 8.0, just tested Alk it is 7.8That should be ok.
Whats the ph and alk?
Yes I do run red sea carbonDo you run any carbon? I have the same issues which is crazy but I don’t know my parameters. I’m happy I order to find out because I feel like I’m lacking nitrates

Since I took the phosoguard out, do I put it back in when it creeps up to say, .10? What do recommend for the diatoms? Don't they go away eventually? They just look so ugly.I'll move it back tomorrow, thank you
