I have a chance to pick up a beautiful 4"-5" Goldflake Angel at my favorite LFS.

Its been here for 3 months and eats like a pig and is as healthy as can be.

It was offered to me for $600.00 this week. Most likely going to go pick it up this weekend.

Wow. I’m sure they’re hard to come by because of their very limited + scattered distribution. If your tank is 14 foot, why not consider a trio? :)

You’re probably talking about the baby flagfin. Looks similar but he doesn’t have a Goldflake. Thanks tho!!

You’re definitely thinking of the the scribbled angel by the rock vat. That was 750.

I have never seen or heard of anyone having Goldflake angelfish here in Mexico, but a lot of people have it in the US, so is there any reason why they are in short supply?? Or are these fish available seasonally?

Wow captive bred! From Biota? Is the stock from Bali Aquarich? I didn’t know they made pedigree Goldflakes as I thought they only bred Goldflake x Flagfin hybrids (which I have no interest in). Is it much hardier than a wild specimen?

i'm from the uk so probs not biota it eats like a pig so i guess hardier than wild caught as that's mostly the problem with WC goldflakes

I have seen some Biota CB fish but very few Bali CB fish down south, wonder if it’s different up north.
