Soo I just got this goniopora in the mail today... and I'm pretty sure it's dead. Doesn't seem to have much flesh showing. Any input on whether or not there's hope for it?? Thanks in advance!

It might be okay. The goniopora and alveopora polyps recede into the skeleton when the are stressed. They can look really bad even when they are actually okay. If there is no tissue sloughing off, I'd say it's probably okay, just getting over the stress of shipment. Move it to an area with good flow and lower light to see if it perks up.

It did look like there was something seeping out of it for a few minutes but couldn't really tell what it was? I guess I'll just have to see what it looks like in the morning.

It could just be mucus from shipment. If it was dark colored and stringy, the coral may be purging or expelling some zooxanthellae in response to stress.
