I’ve had tons of trouble with getting acros or SPS to grow.

montipora has grown well, green slimed has grown well and I have some purple and green SPS has grown well. Surprisingly the SPS tend to grow better in the lower third of the tank. When I place them up high like my birdsnest they have died in a few weeks. based on what has survived any suggestions of good acros or SPS to try again with.
Also any suggestion as to what I can do to improve my chances of success. See pictures below. Thanks all

I’m just going to say, with zoas growing at the top, it wasn’t too much light for your SPS. I wouldn’t say that’s the cause of your SPS dying.

need to know more...but a general observation would be a habitat with zoa's thriving like that most likely isnt a habitat that acros would thrive or want to live in.

Generally any old Tyree acro has been in captivity long enough (from late 90s early 2000s) that they are very forgiving.

Though the best are the cheap or free ones that you can get. You have a lot of zoas in there are you running carbon?
