Hello, Unfortunately my old wavemaker has died suddenly on me and I cannot get it working so its time for a nice upgrade, I immediately went ahead and bought the Jecod ALW-30 which was huge and seemed to have a good flow rate and looked really cool, however the Application was unusable and the pump kept stopping because the software was so buggy and I cant have to restart it every day because of a bad setup so it has now been returned.

So I am back on the look for a wavemaker? I don't really know what I'm looking for, I know I need some kind of random flow? I use to just have 1 wavemaker so I don know if I get x2 smaller pumps oppose sides for a more random flow or if I just get some large pump on one side as I originally planned? Can I please ask some advice?
My Budget isn't huge, i don't really want t be spending Hundreds of £ here on 1 pump, so ideally a nice budget pick or x2. Is something like the Red Sea Gyre patented, cross-flow technology, the best option for a single pump random flow I do think this is out of budget its £300+) ? Or would I be better with x1 Larger pump such as the TMC one or alternativity x2 smaller cheaper pumps oppose for random flow? or finanlly splurge a little bit more and go for x2 TMC Pumps opposite?

What would you do? and what placement would you go for? in a 130L Rectangle tank, with fish and corals.

This is a 34 gallon tank, IMO 2 powerheads would be better than 1 to eliminate dead flow spots. There are hundreds of choices, from controllable to non-controllable, it depends on the budget, its hard to advise. Good luck.

I would use two jeabo sow-4. Mine use a controller box, not an app, has random
Mode, waves, pair them as master and slave, whatever. Mine have been in use for many years now. Very affordable and flow is similar to expensive brands.

I have a IM Nuvo 20g its 24" long
I have a Jecod DMP 10 and I just ordered a DMP20 to add to have one on each side
So far its been a great little pump for a 1/3rd the price of the ecotech

I have a question for you all? If I get say the TMC Reef Flow 4000 and then add say a cheap prop pump like the Jecob one for like £40 oppose would that add enough randomness? Even though its a lesser flow?
