Michigan made all the home centers rope off all the paint, gardening and other nonessential stuff. Everyone was painting
and the workers were complaining.

Really?

Our Lowes, and HD are the only stores that are packed. They are so busy they are limiting the amount of people who enter the store. Of course the limiting is because of covid, but there are lines outside both stores.

I guess if your stuck at home, might as well do some home improvement. I personally would love to go rake my lawn, pickup from winter, but it's still freaking snowing!
