Good Morning. It is so foggy here that my windows look like sheet metal.
In a little while we will be taking the ferry to Connecticut for a little adventure. Not much, just a little.

When your retired, every day can be an adventure. :D We were going to go boating, (In my boat) but it is raining so I will let the Ferry Captain do the driving

Today I took my morning walk like I usually, but not always do. I like to get out before sunrise, before anyone is out to see nature. I usually go to the beach but I like to shake it up. :p

I walk about an hour and really enjoy it. On my way back a few people start to emerge and they are all very friendly and most of them don't even try to mug me. :oops:

I live near the sea so the grass is always covered with mist. Very cool

It's like those Science Fiction movies where it"s like 1947 and you walk through the mist and on the other side its 2083 and Everyone looks like a Supermodel but all they have to eat is pistachio ice cream and Snickers Bars but no one gains weight except for the creepy mayor who is part Alien from Andromeda.

(Thats Brigitte Bardot, 100 years ago in case you were wondering and I don't know her)

Anyway, besides that it was very nice.
This is the road I walk down.

Through the mist (besides the Supermodels) I meet interesting "friends" like Muskrat Sally here. (Really a wood chuck)
They are all over the place but are lousy at crossing roads.

Being they are all so roundish and fat, when they get killed on the streets they always lay there with their little feet in the air. They remind me of Weebles. Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. I hate to see them dead because they are really cute looking and when I first moved here I thought they were beavers because when they stand on their back legs, thats exactly what they look like, but they usually live near a stream.

This guy flew up to the very top of my house and I didn't realize what a racket they make. OMG, like fly south. For an animal with such a small mouth, I don't know where that sound comes from. I hope they don't breed here as one is enough.

Then when I got back to my house, the silence was ended by the bulldozers and Back Hoe's demolishing this building. Crash, boom, Smash etc.

Between the racket from the demolition and that stupid bird on my roof, I had to come into my Man Cave and relax in front of my very quiet fish tank.

any time the Mrs. sees road kill she sez, "oh look.... it's sleeping."

Updating my tank care instructions and checklist as we are leaving on vacation this Saturday. That's right -- vacation. Bizarre right? Thankfully no airplanes involved, just a drive to MA and a ferry ride.

Jeanna called in the middle of the night. She was at the vet clinic with Lucky.
The internet said his condition could be caused by Ebola, childbirth, coughing, rat poison, Infection and a host of other things. They kept him and did blood work. I haven't heard anything else yet. The clinic is with the veterinary school, so I think that is about as good as it gets.

So I just got up.

My longspine urchin stuck his spines into an MP40 and snapped a blade off the impeller and stalled the pump. It kicked the dry side right off the tank. I already learned that lesson though so it didnt hit the floor and break. The urchin never even noticed.

I superglued it back on and it's working right now but ordered a new wetside.

Lucky has this. I have never heard of it before.

Petechiae are tiny purple, red, or brown spots on the skin. They usually appear on your arms, legs, stomach, and buttocks. You might also find them inside your mouth or on your eyelids.
Though petechiae look like a rash, they’re actually caused by bleeding under the skin.

I guess it is a symptom of something else that may be nothing or serious.
Jeanna is going to be 23 in a few days. She is our youngest
Lucky is the cocker. Zoe is our dog.

They think Lucky has primary immune-mediated thrombocytopenia. Something American cocker spaniels are genetically predisposed for. He is still hospitalized and is being treated to raise his platelet levels. We may not get to see Jeanna this weekend.
