All I could come with was a frozen pizza. Jill is off to see the grandbabies who didn't make it here for Christmas before they outgrow their gifts. Jill you're retired, get in the car and go.

So I put anchovies, mushrooms (sautéed first), olives, peppers and more cheese on it. Sometimes it's nice to have a pizza all to yourself.

It's sound's like winter is almost over down there.
Actually, this is the coldest week we have had all winter. Winter never really shows up. I thinks it's like a lot of others who just want to stay away from this state and our crazies.

I forgot to put the "winter" in quotes...but I did experience a January 1977 snow in Brooksville....I think made a couple of snowballs.

That was actually on the news here the other day. It was the "great snow" of 1977, lol

Good morning! I'm starving after the food posts yesterday! Not a single can of Rotel in the house either...and pot roast is sounding really good. Rotel and pot roast maybe? ;Hilarious That might be pushing it a bit...

@Just John, I'm glad we didn't go with plan B to Clearwater! I don't go to Florida to be cold...I can be cold right here at home!

Big meeting this afternoon. I'm nervous about it. Husband asked me what I'll do if they won't "do the deal." I really don't know at this point. The big issue is health insurance for a few years.

Maybe I could work as a deckhand in the Caribbean. Surely, some of the tour operators need "mature" deckhands! I used to be able to tie those fancy knots...I took several boating classes years ago with my dad! @Paul B, do you need a deckhand and do you provide health insurance? :D

Good morning everyone! FWIW, I started drinking coffee in the military and cream and sugar was a luxury so I always drank it black. I figured if the caffeine didn't keep me awake then the taste would.

5 epochs later, here I am with my black coffee. . . some habits are hard to break.

High elevation usually equals lower humidity.

I agree. If I go much further down in elevation the humidity level will go way up! :)

A couple hundred foot drop in elevation and I'd be snorkeling . . . and I live on a "hill"!

Good Morning Reefies

steamed brocolli

i went to culinary arts school for a few years when i thought my line of work was going to be outsourced.
the chef/instructors were always "needs more salt... NEEDS MORE SALT!!!!!!!".
so me and my partner in crime decided to go real heavy on the salt.
to us it was just short of inedible. they wanted more salt.:rolleyes:
i season my food to accent a flavor, not overpower the flavor of what i'm eating.
i think the old time chefs used salt to cover up "things" due to lack of refrigeration and a quick supply line.;)

doing a smoked duck salad for tonight.
and a smoked steelhead risotto tomorrow.

have a fab day.

Jill salts everything so I salt nothing when I cook. She has HBP and takes 3 pills for it. I hope this gets better now that she stopped working. Health over taste.
With Parkinson's your taste goes away and mine has. I have to have Jeanna taste stuff when I cook on holidays. I just do it mechanically anymore.

You are quite talented at making me hungry. Any time of the day.

Lots of posts about worms. Some with quite interesting specimens. I wonder how many kinds of worms there are in the sea? We could have pics of new spices on here. I don't guess we will ever know.
i seen that one... wow, almost like a alien centipede.

I have had some really interesting specimens but they disappear. Many sea things have a single thing they eat and it probably isnt in our tanks.

Three snorkeling trips last week and I didn't see a single worm! I wasn't looking for worms, though...I see enough of them on my driveway after it rains hard. ;Meh

I think the husband is worried about my meeting this afternoon. He keeps asking questions....what are you going to say if they ask this?? I don't know!! I fly by the seat of my pants!! I think he's afraid I'm going to up and quit...hmmm, I kind of like that plan!
