No I haven't not knew in the hobby but the whole forum and club haven't tried but give me some info I'd love to join.

I got a wood sealer and water proof spray. I also silicones the edges of my stand. Anything spills (no matter how much) it stays in.

I'm known to leave the Rodi unit on too long. It has saved me a few times. Easy to mop up with towels and nothing on the floor!

Then you are into a whole other mess with having silicone on your floor permanently. LOL

It would be siliconed to the floor of the stand.

I think it looks nice and will do what you wanted. If you have a massive mess at some point, then pull it out to dry everything thoroughly. But for 99% of the time, it will do nicely.
