You will get mixed opinions but imo there safe,Some people see them on coral and assume there eating the coral when realy there just eating algea.I have always had tons in my tanks and never had any kind of problems but like I said its just my opinion I know some will disagree lol
 
He's fine, theres no coloration with that one. I agree with DSP.
 
I have a number in my tank. They tend to munch on the coralline algae. I've never seen them on the corals or zoanthid colonies.

I take them out but it's not like I look for them just if I easily see them.
They don't mess with my corals but eat the coraline in my tank...
