What is a good placement for frospawn under 150watt HQI MH in 30'' deep tank.
They seem to extend more when lower in tank although they do just fin in the middle of the tank I would like to move them as i want to put a rock were I have them and move up some newly purchased SPS frags that I have had for about two weeks.

Topic Where do you keep your Frog spawn or hammer corals and under which lighting and depth are they.

We have several Euphyllias and keep them on the bottom. They were in the middle of the tank, but have been moved towards the sides. We have an eight bulb T5 on a 120 gal. and they were getting too much light. They will turn pale or whitish when they get too much light. So IME they like medium/low light and medium alternating flow.

Good reply. Anyone else? Where do you put yours.
This is were mine are going to move down I think so i can put a rock were they are.

Hmmm.. a 150 on a 30" deep tank seems a little under powered to me. Ive had them all over under my LEDs and they seem to do well mid-lower half of the tank. a good random current that keeps the polyps bouncing is a MUST.

HQI there running prob 175 watt but more than 150. I will be upgrading my fixture to 250watt HQI. The fixture also uses 4 96watt PC 50/50 420nm/450nm bulbs.
I have had my frog spawn at the bottom and they were fine.

I just wanted to see were other people are putting them.
