i picked up a rock and found a few of these huge worms there, i sucked 2 out with a baster but am wondering if I should leave it or get rid of it?

Bristle worms. Some people keep them while others get rid of them. They hurt if you touch them otherwise known to be harmless to a reef.

Looks like a fire worm to me but I can't really tell the color. Google some pictures for a better identification. Some people throw them out and some keep them in the sump and then some of those that live dangerously leave it in the DT. Make sure not to touch it with bare hands whatever you choose.

i threw them back in... didn't touch them in or out, good thing too i almost was tempted... used a baster, lol.
They are fat....

not to hijack the thread but how do you guys tell the difference between bristle and fire so easy? probably my colorblindness but they usually look the same to me except the bristles on the fire worm are longer I thought. Im sure OP is curious as well.
