Gorgonian reef

I am thinking of getting a UNS 30a near the end of August and I was hoping to create an almost monospecific tank of just Pseudoterogorgia bipinnata, my question is how should I orient the gorgonian? I'm guessing I would make it have cross-flow so the water pushes through the branches?

I have one in my seahorse tank that is basically standing straight up and down. The one in my reef is almost horizontal. They don't seem to have a preference except for moderate to strong current.

Facing the flow is fine, just don't blast them with too much. Moderate lighting is fine.
