I got a Canon 80D for Christmas with the base lens along with a EF 50mm prime. This is my first DSLR so I'm going to be doing a lot of reaserch. What is a decent budget macro lense for this camera? I've been hearing about the 100mm but it's a bit pricey for me right now.

I'm looking to focus a lot more on portrait and landscape photography, but the macro photography with definitely be in there as well.

Find the close focus on that 50mm.

You might be surprised at what it does.

And Tokina is a decent priced starter macro. Either the 60 or 90.

I have a Tokina 100mm macro for my Nikon and really like it. You can get the Canon version for your camera. It is still not cheap but much less expensive than most other quality macro lenses.
