That's a bummer for sure. What it's supposed to been is beautiful hopefully the seller stands behind it.

Only a DOA guarantee, and I dipped and acclimated, so looks like I'm out :( hubs is gonna kill me!

A dip and acclimation shouldn't have done that to it. Its possible it had RTN on a corner and it spread. Did you take a pic before doing anything to it?

No, I didn't. I should have, but I thought it was fine. Never crossed my mind to take a before pic... All the times I've gotten coral before now it's been a 7 day guarantee, so I guess I got comfortable.
I did look it over well and other than a dark orange color I saw zero issues, but since it was my first plate if there wasn't obvious damage I wouldn't have known any different.
Only other time I've had issues was a pair of SPS shipped as fresh cuts (a nice surprise gesture for shipping late...not purchased) that immediately turned white with RTN.
I'm fairly certain there's no lessons learned in this hobby without learning the hard way,
