I have been able to produce a live stream. I am still learning as much as I can as fast as I can.
I have lots of optimizing to complete.
I wish to be able to stream 4k @ 30 fps at some point,
but I will need another camera for that, so for now this is what I can do.
Right now I am at 720 p @ 30 fps.
I am using a Sony a6000 via Camlink usb to my surface i5 and then using twitch.tv studio to pipe to twitch.tv.
I am using a coral filter, get this --taped to my lens since the bubbus magnus filter set is 37mm and my sony e mount lens is 40.5mm , , the orange one is the one from the magnus kit I am using , there is also a yellow and a macro one that came with it.
I tried two Tiffen ones @ 49 mm since the other lens I got with the Sony was sporting that size.
Both Tiffen filters , 16 and the 21 did not do much, so they are going back.
I ordered another filer set for the 40.5 mm lens hoping one in there will work.
If you know of a good orange filter /coral set @ 40.5mm let me know.
I am not settled on twitch for the home of my stream, as seems mostly video gaming.
I have a few others to try , of course youtube, but dlive is the one that I really want try as a friend recommended.
I could get my own web page but that would be out time wise for now.......but someday.
I have an articulating arm, on the way, that will be able to mount the camera at different place and angles.
anyway to the stream
Thoughts on optimization:
--use my gaming laptop as that has I7 and better graphics as well as a network port so I can use cat 6 and make the fios fiber for better upload speed; surface is wifi currently
--better camera; so far I like the sony a6400, nikon z50, maybe one of the panasonic lumix,
that will give me 4k to the camlink
--refine days and schedule that I will stream , with better notes and comments.
--better framing and centering as well as aspect I take video from
Looking forward to hearing what feedback I get
I have been keeping the camera up till about 2100 gmt-5
and turn back on before noon.
I did not buy the camera just for this, I had it already and just interfaced and started using.
thanks
Joe
