got my neptune dos and im planning to use it to do continuous water change for a while at least..anyone care to share experiences or advice and so on..would love to hear from you.

It is very loud. I would not do a continua water change but rather a few every day while your out of the house. If you have it run all the time you will hear a constant Antonio sound. I think there great for awcs but not continua ones

Remove the plastic compression fitting caps and use John Guest #PP450821W 1/4 push x 1/8 female threaded adapters. Use RO tubing to do the water lines.

thanks..I am using r/o tubing..no adapter required...and to the first comment..boy are you right...it is LOUD and becomes annoying...I will try to schedule it for a shorter time period when im not home or asleep

I mounted my DOS to the wall in my garage and ran 1/4” tubing through the wall to my tank. I only hear it when I’m in the garage.

why those fittings...would you explain what the purpose is? I just want to understand the why..im totally interested..but explain it some if you dont mind

They seal fully, unlike the plastic compression fittings that tend to either back off slightly over time, or can just not seal properly to begin with.

Over time I got air bubbles or the line can back out. These fittings hold the lines so much better
