So I picked up this frag of Acan from AquaSD at RAP last summer. It's almost been a year and it's doing well. Noticed a couple months ago that the new heads contain both colors like they're being blended. Has anyone else seen this before?

Earliest picture I have of it. No filter.

I don’t know much about coral propagation or morphing but I think it’s really awesome looking!! I assume it was it two types of acan glued to one frag plug initially?? Keep posting process pictures as it grows!

When I purchased the frag it looked like the two colors were puzzle pieced together and had healed but no smaller heads were present. I originally wanted to separate the two colors but i'm now glad i didn't. I emailed AquaSD about this and they really didn't have much to say except it looks good. The 2nd most recent picture doesn't do justice as i ticked it off trying to turn the frag to get a picture and some heads deflated. I put it on the acrylic frag plate hoping that it would spread out as it was starting to cling to the egg crate below.

Super cool, do you still have this colony? Would love a frag with both colors!
