Hey guys hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction but how many grams are in a tablespoon? I'm trying to determine how much GFO to use. Directions are 50g per 50gal. Thanks!

There is no conversion between grams and tablespoons...Grams is to weight as tablespoon is to volume. Example: A tablespoon of flour will weigh fewer grams than a tablespoon of gold.

I believe that with my BRS GFO, it's 1 TBSP per every 10 gallons of water...Hope that helps.

That's exactly why I'm having trouble. Thanks for the input. Hopefully someone will chime in. I'm using TLF Phosban

Well I figured it out. There were 150grams in the container so I just counted the total number of tablespoons in it and used some basic mathematics.

Just get yourself a gram scale XD
Or, if you measure out a known weight, you can find out that way (like if you had 100 grams, and you knew that, you could take your tablespoon and literally measure out the volume) BUT this method is rough at best. Not for sensitive measurements.

TLF says 10 grams is approx equal to one level spoonfull. As already pointed out though one is weight and one is volume so it does not apply with everything nor is it exact.
Ounces can be a measurement of weight as in 16 oz to a lb or a measurement of volume as in 128 fluid ounces to a gallon.
