Hello all, I have a few questions about Granulosas. I have two in my tank RMF Ice Age and Yoshi’s Island. Neither have grown for me much at all. Had them since October. All the acros around it have been growing pretty well so far. So my questions are, anyone had any luck with them? If so, any tips? High light, Med light, low flow, high flow? My NO3 (15) and PO4 (.06) stay pretty constant. Actually going to start bringing them up some to get better colors. The two corals are sitting in 300+ par with Med flow currently. Thank you!

They grow pretty well for me in NWSish water and lots of MH lighting. They are not impossible by any stretch, but they are also not the easiest of acorpora. Sometimes they can take a time to get going.

So I should probably move them up in the tank? The top of my rocks are right around 450 par. Haven’t been able to get them to color up much either. Kind of went drab once they got in my tank and never really went back to how they were when I got them. Other corals are coloring up nicely. Just a picky species I guess?

Can you post pics? I agree with @jda on this NSW prams and lots of light once acclimated. For me they seem finicker then a lot of other species to increasing light intensity so go slow. Have you moved them at all? Sometimes they just need a wake up call and a little more light abs flow can do that.

I’ll get some pics when I get home. I haven’t moved them, but from where they are at, they are on the border of my light spread. So if I move one over more it will increase from ~300 to about 450. The other one would need to be moved up in the tank to achieve that. It is just lower in low to mod flow. The one up top is in moderate flow.

Here are some pics of them both are kind of on the edge of the high par areas, but still getting ~250+ Par. I just added the gyre on the back wall a few days ago to help with flow. So far all my SPS are loving it.
