Green banded goby

Liveaquaria says I can keep three or more of these guys in a tank and they wont fight. I am sceptical of this and that they will fight. Has anyone found success in keeping multiple of them in a larger group?

Supposedly you can, but personally I think Gobies do best by themselves. Very few fish I would ever keep more than one per species on the salty side of the hobby.

They can be kept in groups. I've had groups of 4-6 in a 24" cube. Definitely more active and social in groups then in pairs or alone. Also, more active and social when there aren't large or aggressive fish in the tank.

These tend to be found in groups and have the ability to change sex to whatever ratio is needed (ie can go from male to female or female to male), the fancy name is protogynous hermaphrodites. They should pose no problem being kept in groups apart from maybe a little initial scuffling to sort out dominance.

Many gobies are happy in groups as this is how they are naturally found. The smaller ones like trimma or evoita are good, as are those that live in corals like yellow or green clown gobies, plus the various colour morphs of cleaner gobies.
