My Tank Thread
This is my first time posting on here, my tank has been running for about 2 months now, I have a green bubble coral that seems to be doing well overall, but it has a part on the skeleton where there are brown threadlike strands coming off of it. Could this be damage from initially placing it in the tank? Also will it eventually heal/go away?
Welcome! Glad you joined. I always defer to VetGuy as he knows SO MUCH about SO MUCH but if they said hair algae (can't tell from posts in THIS thread) then vote get in there and pull it out so it stops irritating your coral.
Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
