Green Chromis got beat up

Just finished a 6 week copper treatment while my display is undergoing a 76 day fallow. The fallow ends on August 7th! Home stretch!! However I have had all my fish in a 54 gallon hospital tank. Its a bit crowded. I have so far been successfully mitigating territorial aggression with one hick up. I have 3 green chromis. About a week and a half ago I noticed on hiding behind the wave maker. Checked him out and he has some bruises and didnt look happy. Pulled him and put him in his own 5 gallon isolation. He has a pcc cave a wave maker and a HOB filter running no media currently. After about a day he again retreated to the top corner of the tank. He seems to just be there. His bruising has not gotten worse if anything I believe it to be getting better. He does not move from that corner. I assumed its the schooling behavior and stress of being bullied. He was eating very lightly and will swallow one... yes I mean one mysis when I feed directly on top of his location. Im worried but I cant find any signs of uro or any other infections. He is not breathing rapidly just swimming vertically tword the water line constantly. Im thinking possible gill damage from the copper treatment and bullying? At this point im at a loss. I have no idea how I can help him. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

If I'm reading your reply correctly, I'd be concerned that ammonia may be building up in a tank without a functional biofilter, which is not going to help the bruising, etc.

Either way, I think it would be best if you could post some clear pics of the fish in distress using the brightest white light you have, turning off all blues for clarity. A short video is often helpful too. Then, the R2R Fish Medic team and take a look and offer a diagnosis and a treatment plan going forward.

Chromis fight amongst each other and often have a dominant male and I suggest placing cell phone on video mode and walk away for about 15 minutes and come back and see if you have an aggressive member amongst the group

Fresh 90% change a few days ago. I considered ammonia as well. I'll get on the pics and video now.

Give the Fish Medics a chance to look at the pic. Were you able to get a short video as Vetteguy asked above? It would help determine who's the aggressor.

Honestly after isolating the little guy I have nott seen any other signs of aggression. It very well could have been a disbar anthias that did it. They have been upset since the fallow started

I thought I answered, the anthias can be an issue as well as swim behavior being stress/distress as I do see damage on the chromis

Anyone else have any suggestions? I know it was the fish being bullied I just want to be confident in why he is just swimming in place and eating such small amounts. He has been in the isolation tank for about a week and a few days. So by now id assume he knows there is no one else there to bully him :( I want to provide care to reintroduce him back into the display on August 7th
