How long has it been in treatment? it looks about ready for the DT..Get some real light and flow on it. If no deflation and mouth stays closed for 48hrs I’d say you’re out of the woods

Nem has shrunk down about half its size. Tentacles are still inflated and mouth just slightly open. Not sure if this is in response to the light and or added flow.

Mouth is still just slightly open. I can see it’s siphonoglyphs. 5 doses of cipro so far. No full deflates so far, only getting a little smaller when the lights are off.

Nice! I'd say it's ready for its forever home. It's normal for any nem to shrink up a little when lights are out. I'd start changing water with water from the tank you are going to put it into, maybe start with 30-50% so its not a shock when you transfer it.

I wouldn't say it's ready, just yet. I think a week in QT without meds is a safer option, but still doing what you propose (moving water from the DT). This gives the gig plenty of time to fully flush its system of both the ailment and ant residual antibiotic. It also helps to prevent either from entering the DT.

I've seen gigs relapse and require a second treatment. There's no harm in keeping the gig in the QT for an additional week just to observe. This is much better than having to remove the gig from the DT is there is a sudden decline.

Was planning on treating the full 7 days and then observing for a couple days or so in the qt. Mouth is still just barely open but was closed for a couple of hours earlier.

Came home and found the nem deflated and water cloudy. Did a full water change and dosing cipro again for day 7.

I definitely would not call that deflated, he looks retracted which happens from time to time. No need to worry IMO
For a gig, that's definitely deflated. It NEVER happens from time to time with healthy gigs. Anytime you can clearly see wrinkles on the foot, that's a cause for concern.

Looks back to normal today.
As I previously stated, it might've been it's last big push.

This is precisely why I recommend an extra week in the QT tank just to observe. They tend to look really good near the end of treatment and it can really go in either direction at that point. If they deflate, then have what appears to be a hard time re-inflating, then it's back to the antibiotics. If they don't deflate again, they usually pull through.

Do you recommend a couple more rounds of cipro or just observational qt for another week?

It's up to you. I'm hoping it was just "constipated" and got out what it needed to. If you like, you can go a couple more rounds, since I don't think it hurts them, or you can just observe and hope it doesn't deflate again. Then QT for another week. After that, assuming it doesn't deflate, it can go into the DT.
