I'm sad to report this will be the last update on this thread. Just before Christmas my tank went through a brown jelly syndrome attack that impacted over a dozen corals. 7 are completely dead, and at least 5 suffered significant damage, including the green slimer. Here's the last photo before I trimmed off several branches to try to save the frag:

I'm hoping it will recover and resume its rapid growth rate, but at this point I'll just be glad if it survives.

Thanks to everyone who followed along. Maybe once things stabilize and I'm confident that the tank is healthy, I'll pick another frag to track monthly progress.

UPDATE:

As I posted above in January, my green slimer was in bad shape. I ended up cutting off the most damaged branches and hoped to save what was left. I'm happy to report it has rebounded nicely! I love this frag.

Nice recovery! What steps did you have to take to clear up the brown jelly?

There’s no brown jelly, sometimes when acros RTN, you can save them by fragging them up OR leaving them alone, as other times fragging them up will kill it. I’ve had success either way, and currently one RTNed frag of a BC Brain Candy is still surviving from just a few polyps left, had I fragged it it would have died.

how is it doing today?

It's doing well, though it does have some burned tips and it's being overrun by the stylophora nextdoor. I think my current lighting schedule may be a bit too much for it, but since all the other SPS colonies at the top of the tank are doing well, I don't want to turn the lights down.
