Greetings from Wisco!

Equipment Breakdown:
55 gal, 1 Black Ice Clown, 1 *Anemone, 2 Blue Legged Hermits, 1 Turbo Snail, 1 Margerita* Snail, ~45 lbs of LR, CPR Aquatics Remora hang-on, Marineland H.O.T. can, JBJ Artica Chiller, 3 Tunze's, Fluval FX6 (Filter Pro pimped.)

Maintenance:
Very relaxed routine that consists of utilizing a syphon to harvest green hair algae monthly.

Feeding:
The anemone is getting chunks of oysters bi-weekly at best and the clown forages mostly and receives a thawed blended medley that I target feed over my corals maybe once per month.

Review:
Generally, algae is considered unsightly but this is a refugium blended with a frag tank and granted the algae can get in the way...its just trying to help compensate for inadequate removal of nitrates from the system.
Action going forward, feedings are already very controlled. The Marineland H.O.T. contains just the foam sleeve and ALOT of tubeworm things...I may pull it or remove the foam and increase water changes (g.h.a. removal.) Longterm, the plan is to upgrade to a larger sumped tank...maybe an all-in-one?

P.S. - The FX6 has been running since July 2019 with 11 lbs. of FilterPro's Biohome Ultimate and two-part foam media (picture.) I took on this, let's be honest, ADDITIONAL nitrate factory to test FilterPro's claim that anerobic bacteria will form in 6 months time and in-turn reduce nitrates.

Comments, concerns, and questions very welcome. <3

I just got rid on my FX6 after running it on my 90 and then on the 40b for 5 years...it died. But when I had it on the tank, I did not use the outer foams. I placed Marinepure bio balls on the outside basket area. In each center basket I had felt encasing the following items: BRS Rox .8 in a fine media bag, the other two centers had Seachem Matrix
