apologies for the bad photos. He was in the top tank and couldn’t get him to move. He’s stressed out in the tank so I’m having difficulty IDing. Labeled as a flag tail grouper, Cephalopholis urodeta, but I don’t think that’s right

Any thoughts? Hoping he’s a plectropomus grouper.

I need side pics to fully confirm but believe this is a hawkfish

If he’s stressed colors might be different,

I got a type of hawkfish: Cirrhitichthys Oxycephalus which matches the shape pretty well
Could also be a grouper but I have no idea which it would be.

I am not an expert, I looked up the image on google and found it, looked similar to these fish might be wrong.

Yeah, some side shots of the whole fish (particularly the head) under white light would be helpful here.

Also, how big is the fish?
