Anyone know what grouper this is? @human can you come through again with a good ID like you did with the other grouper. I don't think it is a miniatus. It is much more streamlined and a darker color.

My guess is a young Plectropomus maculatus, they get over 3ft long.

Your awesome. The one in the video is about 9in.
No problem, at first I thought it might be C. Argus bc of the eye, but it's tail is not rounded, plus C. Argus loses its juvenile colors around 6" and that cross hatch trigger looked to be almost full size.
