Grouper single eye Popeye

I got this cherry grouper may 5th and I put it through three rounds of prazi pro and it was going fine but then I used copper power at 2.2-2.4 and all of a sudden his eye got huge and developed pop eye. It looks like a bubble on it and I dosed marcyn in it with the copper power and it didn’t do anything but I didn’t know if it would be different with the copper since it’s an immunosuppressant? I don’t know if I should discountinue copper and use just the marcyn or what to do it’s not cloudy at all and only one eye but it may be bloody/red but I can’t tell because of the color of the fish.

This is either from an injury or gas embolism. If injury, treatable with maracyn as pictured below but seems to be air bubble and wait a couple of days to see if it subsides.

Agreed - this is either an injury, or less likely from gas supersaturation (that usually involves both eyes)

Maracyn 1 helps with possible secondary bacterial infection, but timenn be is the best cure for this - it can take a month or more, and in some cases, the fish ends up losing the eye.

It hasn’t really gotten worse but it is still there and not cloudy his qt has been all done and it hasn’t really done anything should I just add him to dt and let it heal on his own or should I keep him in qt with no medication

After this length of time I don't think there is anything contagious going on with it.....as long as the DT has compatible animals in it, I think moving it could help in terms of a better environment for healing. Just be aware that one common cause for these eye issues is capture damage - even flipping in a net can cause popeye.....

It’s eating well?

It’s eye may be permanently swollen…..
