a recent BRS video said they don't recommend it in nanos because of less of a dilution effect if things go wrong. 5 gallons of saturated Kalk water dumping into 200 gallon tank vs 10 gallon tank would likely be different.

I am just over 4 months in and I have coralline starting in many areas. It seemed to start as soon as I added decent lighting (AI Hydras).

Do the white spots you mentioned look like tiny spiral shells? If so, probably spirorbis.

get some loose Coraline and spread it around, i've scraped it off heavy patches turned my pumps off and dusted it over my rocks. If you have proper ca, alk, and lighting it will take off. Ask you lfs if you can have a chunk to seed your tank.
I have some rocks that seem to have coraline on them...these rocks were unused and dry for at least weeks or months...I use them now for there color...wondering if this old coraline is still viable?...I can scrape some off of these rocks...but are they in a state to still seed?...Thanks...
