As I recall, you just moved the tank. Probably just some funk. I see that on a lot of black sand tanks fwiw.

Yes target feed 2 Favia and cyphastrea I also target feed my zoanthid on the other side of the tank and I have that Brown stuff over there as well

How often were you feeding? I feed 1-2 times a week

And how did you get rid of it?

I just cut back the amount of food I was feeding them and making sure most was falling on the mouth or polyps instead of the sand

you have a dead spot it looks like algae is starting to grow I would Vac it or just stir it with plastic wand the kind you would find on blinds. let it grow it makes a mess binding the black sand I myself dealt with this awhile

Have you test the nitrates and phosphates? I would say Diatoms. Phosphates and silica feed diatoms. Also when the last time you changed your RO/DI filters?
