Might be done type of cyano.
Are you target feeding that favia with anything like reef roids?

I asked because I was target feeding and over feeding my corals with reef roids and got a red cyano outbreak.

I just cut back the amount of food I was feeding them and making sure most was falling on the mouth or polyps instead of the sand

you have a dead spot it looks like algae is starting to grow I would Vac it or just stir it with plastic wand the kind you would find on blinds. let it grow it makes a mess binding the black sand I myself dealt with this awhile

Have you test the nitrates and phosphates? I would say Diatoms. Phosphates and silica feed diatoms. Also when the last time you changed your RO/DI filters?

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
