Looking at a used gryphon saw but it is the shorter version. Priced at $250 with a spare blade. What do you all think? pass on the short version and keep looking for the taller one? could the short version be converted to the taller one? Looks like the blade and the upright tubes (if replaceable) and you would have the taller saw.
thanks
Jeff

I have the so called short version I could run 5-6” through it no issue. It’s well worth 250!!! I would take it all day! I paid 4 for mine brand new 8 years ago and it’s still just as good as the day I got it. Only complaint would be the table could be stainless instead of plastic. Overall very nice equipment. You’ll be fine with the short unless you plan on cutting rocks all day.
