One of the first corals I added to my tank was a GSP. It's been doing great for more than a month now (expanding a bit), but the other day it closed up and hasn't reopened. Something to worry about?
I had redirected my powerheads a bit to get more even flow which resulted in the GSP having lower flow (was high; now moderate)
PH was running a bit low (7.8); now 8.0
Alk was also a bit low (6.6dKH) and being dosed up at 0.2/day (now 6.8dKH)
Nitrate is around 2.5ppm (was at 0 a few days ago)
My calcium got over-dosed (stuck pump) up to about 550, but that was more than a week ago and the GSP was fine for the first few days.
All other params are within normal limits (1.025, 0 ammonia/nitrite/phosphate, 78F)
All other corals doing fine.
