GSP frag growing white vines?

I've had it for about a month. Usual it's all opened up but today only half is.
Haven't changed the water for a few days.

Are these vine like growths normal? I can't find a picture of it anywhere.

I have it glued to two suction cups that are on the glass.

Looks like a sponge is also growing on the glass
