Think this is where I'll leave the rock, maybe...I'm indecisive
Planning on adding a diy shadow box to the back of the tank. Are you putting a background on this?
If so, you could do what I did...Had a local acrylic shop cut me black pieces to sizes I wanted. Glued a three inch piece length of the tank both top and bottom for a place the background could slide into. Basically built a removable background. I can slide the background out and set aside when working on my tank in the fish room. Very convenient. I can send you pics if you are interested.
Thanks!Amazing work GXPKY! Wow you got quite creative and not only built a furnished reef, but you got it functioning really fast! I'm amazed at your creation- I can't describe my thoughts better; nevertheless, truly amazed. What are the specs of your skimmer plumbing?
BTW, I like the rock where it is.

They are the aquatic life retrofit t5ho fixtures.Where did you find those single bulb T5 fixtures?
Thanks!
I just plumbed in a mag drive pump to feed the skimmer and the output is some 2 inch flex line, rest is just whatever came with the reef octopus.
Looking great!Built onto my light hanger to accommodate 8 t5 bulbs...gotta pick up another retrofit and I'll be good to go.
Just happened to have like 5 of them from previous builds shoved back.Interesting choice of pump. I love the work so far. Keep us updated. [emoji14]

Love it man.... keep it up!Better shot of the fixture I made up and running. Still need to order one or two more 4 bulb t5s to fill it out but for now this will do. Already drilled and ready to mount reflectors.
