I’m looking for a gyre pump that will work on 1in acrylic. Anyone know of one? I’m currently using Mp40s and they hold just fine. But I’ve added more of the same 72x24x12 1in acrylic tanks. I’d like to try a gyre on one. I’ve never had one.

Look into the IceCap 4ks... I have them, love them and the magnets seem insanely strong so suspect they may work for your thicker tank acrylic walls.

my tank is just 1/2" thick so you are 2x at 1 inch
FYI I also have 2 MP40s and they don't have the magnetic power/strength of my IceCap 4Ks ... fear I may get blood blisters getting skin caught if I'm not extra extra careful with cleaning my gyres

Good know … that helps a lot. I think I’m just going to order one and see. I can always put it on a different glass tank if needed.

one will come with controller. If you love it and get another (that is how I did it also), then when you get 2nd one make sure you only order the icecap WITHOUT controller - it should cost less. When it comes, hook it up to the controller that came with the first one. Each controller controls 1-2 4Ks
