Gyre pump

Can the magnet from a jaebo gyre pump be placed inside the aquarium? My tank has dual corner overflows and was wanting to attach the second one to one of the boxes for the back one as I have them mounted vertically.

I didn’t think it would be a problem as it’s just plastic and a couple of magnets but figured I would ask before I put threw it in.
