Good morning everyone!! I just purchased two Jebao 120 Gyre pumps and I am thinking of placing them on the back wall to help with dead spots and flow for my SPS. I am going to remove the two Hydors on the side of the tank and keep the two smaller Jebao wave makers.

What do you think?

If it was me, I would put the gyres on the sides and “fill in” dead spots in the back with the smaller ones. Best thing about gyres is that you can forward reverse coordinate :)

That’s what I would do too, I run 2 XF330s, one on each end and get really strong flow everywhere(using LTC mode).

I run two gyre pumps mounted on the back wall just a few inches in from the sides. I set them both vertically and have the flows in each directed in towards the center of the tank so they are almost pointing directly at each other. Then I program them with one on a one-minute cycle and the other on a 62-second cycle. With this I don’t have to worry if I exactly set them to alternate. Sometimes they do and sometimes they coincide.
yellow lines roughly show where gyres are located:

I was thinking about that but with i dont think they will fit with my corner overflows.

Ohhhhh hmm. Well you could put them vertical and off center like one close to the overflow and one towards the front.

I wont be able to put them width way on the ends due to size. I am thinking about flipping them vertically on each h end. One in the back and one on the front.

Anyone use them vertically with good results?
