I have a Nuvo 30 fusion. 36 " long.
On the one side have a maxspect 130 and on the other side an MP 10.
The MP 10 side constantly collects detritus no matter what mode I run.
The maxspect side is allways clear.
I am thinking of getting a Gyre for both sides and an Icecap controller to sync them.

You know they come with their own controller right? the maxspect.
I have a 230 and I like it so far. Havent quite figured out anything past the pulse mode lol what mode do you run yours on?

That's exactly the opposite I've seen...
The gyre pumps I had before the mp10's could go no longer than 2 weeks max before I HAD TO clean them, otherwise they plugged up.
The mp10's I've gotten to about 4-5 months before I HAVE TO clean them.

I run mine in the alternate mode . The Icecaps allow you to sync via Apex and create different flows waves cleaning modes and slow down at night

I run an older 250 on my 36 gallon. It was gradually slowing down after about 9 months so I watched the videos and cleaned it. Reinstalling it and starting it at the last settings caused a Tsunami in my tank and dumped water over the back and into the cabinet frying my Apex power bar! However. I don't clean that often. What plugs yours up?

I think that the op is talking about the TANK building up detritus on one side or the other, not the pumps themselves getting dirty...:D

Hate to tell you this but....having ran the Gyre XF-130 for over a year I found that detritus ALLways built up at the opposite end of the tank, bad! It is not the MP10 that's the issue.

I wonder if having two at opposite ends would be best. Dont get me wrong, I only have one as well, but we could beat the system LOL

That's what I'm thinking and playing around with it to get the detritus moving. I have bare bottom tank so can use high settings as long as the frags don't blow way!

I started with a single Gyre 130 in my 36" wide tank, then after a while added a 230 on the other side and started running them both off the 230's controller in "Lunar Tidal Cycle" mode. It creates a ton of flow and seems to do a super good job of keeping detritus stirred up. I never have to clean them more than once every couple months.

Thanks that's exactly what I'm going to do.

I had a gyre 150 running for awhile on one end of my 72g bow front and an MP10 on the other end. I recently bought the new 250 with the advanced controller (which controls two gyres off one controller) and it allows me to sync them to each other. So now I have a 150 on the left and a 250 on the right running in pulse anti sync mode and it has done a wonderful job of keeping detritus from settling. Its awesome. Im using gyres for now on

Im disappointed with my gyre. Its propellers broke. Bought the new ruggedized, the pump was exposed to air during a power outage and didn't turn off (like its supposed to), this caused it to seize up now it doesn't turn...

When it works, it works great

That's too bad. Mine have been running for 18 months and 1 year respectively with no breakages. Have you contacted coralvue?

Yeah i did. They were going to just send me a new motor block and magnet free of charge. Until they realised im in Canada.

Then coralview in Canada told me to ship it to them for repair. With the cost of shipping and insurance, will cost me 45$... Canada customer service s ux
