Purchased it from a local store who had it mislabeled as an LTA. I didn't figure out exactly what it was until I got it home and in my tank. It was fully inflated and looking good all afternoon but around 9:30 (just before lights out) it started to deflate. At no point did the mouth open or gape, it's been closed this entire time.

Yesterday morning I woke up to it looking perfectly fine and my clowns were in it. It was fine again all day and then we had a repeat deflation last night. Again, no mouth gaping, still tightly closed.

This morning I woke up earlier than normal for work and checked on the nem and it was partially balled up. I didn't bring my phone with me so no pic and by the time I got back to the tank with my phone it had already mostly opened.

Should I be concerned? Is it potentially just adjusting to my tank? The store has had it for almost 3 months and had no issues. I confirmed both length of stay and appearance with a friend who visits the store regularly.

If I need to treat it where can I buy cipro? It's not anything I've ever kept on hand as I've never needed it.

Balling up or closing up at lights out would be normal, but shriveling like second pic looks like needs cipro, get it treated right away.
Look at sticky above, how I cipro

How long does it typically take for it to degrade? Like I said, they had it for months.

Also, where do you buy your cipro?

Sorry for just getting back, work...

Petmountain .com is where I got mine last, Thomas labs fishflox.

It's very important to get on it right away.
While petco may have had it a while, the infection could be recent, it will transfer from other nems, their systems are usually all connected.
Often if people do not have cipro on hand, they do not get to it in time, even rush order, so know going in it could already be too late, but I woujld at least try, it's a nice looking mag.
