So I used Dr Tim's waste away. But.... I was carbon dosing. As a result the waste away bacteria took over, infecting every coral. Over growing them and infiltrate their flesh. I tried to revive them for several months. But no succes. So finally I removed all affected corals. But new ones I did buy where quickly taken over by the bacteria, even though I was not carbon dosing anymore. So I did start over again. The fish and corals left are doing fine. I just have a lot of phyto on the glass. Lesson learned

A UV filter will help with that bacterial bloom.

Definitely looking better! That's crazy though. I'd never have guessed that was a problem to watch out for. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

How long did it take to take over?
Couple of months. Corals started to look dull. Not expanding no feeding response, loss of tentacles. First were the fleshy corals like goniopora and acans. Then moved to euphylia who became a sort of a undefined blob and never recovered. Even green star polyp. It held on for a long time but polyp by polyp died of. New corals died in a couple of weeks. The corals I bought sins de restart al stay alive now

Things are coming back to normal finally. I even added two new additions a royal gramma and a feather duster
