Are there any dips that are available for purchase or homemade that may help kill hair alage?

Unfortunately, the threads on here that attempt to answer that question are quite lengthy and sometimes conflicting. You might feel like a cat chasing its tail. But so that you don’t over-adjust your tank parameters, maybe post a photo or two of what you are dealing with and people can give you some tailored advice. Best wishes!

not really, food goes in, nitrates go up, nitrates get to high and GHA is a fact on this process. Lower nitrates and you lower GHA. How one chooses to do such does not need not be lengthy, and while different methods work, only 2 are really conflicting. #1 water changes, #2 media like GFO #3 a fuge / matt #4 chemicals like vibrant... these 4 are the most popular and all work together less #4 with a fuge.

I recently started Vibrant 10ml on a 45 gallon with another 10 gallons in sump. I do have a diy alage scrubber. Parameters below, My phos goes to 0 on hanna low range to 0.05ppm. My Ph was up higher than normal, I'm normally 8.1 -8.3 , I contribute this to kalk in my ato and increased evap in tank. Corals are good except those in back left of tank where the alage is.

salinity 1.024
temp 79.9
calcium 490 ppm
alkalinity 8.1ppm
phosphate 0.00ppm
ph 8.6ppm
nitrate 5-10 ppm
