will soaking a small zoa frag in 3% peroxide for a couple seconds kill off the hair algae that's taking over it? If not what can I use?

I've done it before with 10:1 tank water to peroxide ratio. Sometimes stronger, usually for 30sec up to 4min and have had no ill effect.

Works great when used correctly, i have done frags and full rocks with no issues
