Have you ever had hair algae growing on your chaeto in the refugium? It's the strangest thing; no HA in DT, only in the sump, and only on the chaeto.

Yup, I have that. I also have cyano in my fuge. I suspect it is because my CuC is much better in the DT than in my fuge. Not much more than bugs and a few hermits in my fuge to help keep things clean.

I have bryopsis growing off of my chaeto in my fuge. Granted I also have bryopsis in my DT, but that's a whole other issue...

I currently am battling red cyano on some rocks and when I sucked it out during a water change noticed hair algae.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
