Hair algae on Frag plug

I would like some advice on hair algae that came on the frag plug. Try to manually remove it, or remove the mushroom from the plug? And how do you remove mushrooms from the plug? Or will they eventually remove themselves? Any feedback is appreciated.

Dip coral and frag plug in a mixture of 1/3 3% hydrogen peroxide and 2/3 tank water for 5-7 minutes. Rinse and return to the tank. The next day it will start turning grey and over the next couple of days it will completely disappear.

If your tank conditions favor the algae growth, removing it locally wouldn’t help as it will grow back in a few days. If you want short but effective treatment globally, try reef flux. There is mixed opinions on it, but works for my tank.
