At first i thought these are green hair algae, but now I'm not sure. I have a lawnmower blenny and he doesn't touch any of these. I also have plenty of snails and crabs. Nothing touches these. Also my nitrate and phosphate are undetectable. I'm at my wits end. I have done lots of water changes and ran gfo carbon. Nothing works. Help please.

I can see fern-like fronds in the second picture... it's a species of bryopsis. Or at least that one is. Read this thread or as much of it as you can (It's super long lol). It works, I did the treatment myself :) https://www.reef2reef.com/index.php?threads/285096/

Just ordered flu amazon yesterday. Mine in a new tank and just starting but want it gone
When you get the fluconazole, scrb and remove as much as possible. Shake the meds in a jar with tank water till is only cloudy with no real viable particles. Makes It work pretty fast IMO.

+1! And be sure to get capsules as they seem to have a better dissolve and success rate.

Thank you for your responses. crap! How on earth did it get in the tank? These are all dry rock. I don't have that many corals. ***
All it takes is one spore to come in on a frag or rock. It may have been growing all along and you didn't notice it period Then something set it off to explode in the tank. Also you probably tried pulling it which also released more spores . To get rid of it you need to remove as much as you can and do a water change then dose your tank as salty said.

Use the fluconazole cuz if you raise your mag that how you lose a lot of your invert if not all of them

The Flucon is SOOO easy. The Kents Mag solution is or was attributes to an imputiy in the formula. Some say lithium. The have reformulated and many report it no longer works.
Look at the Flucon link posed above. It amazing, I did it. 7 days and there was no visible bryopsis in my tank. Really.
Really really.
Cost me $28 for my tank

http://payless-petproducts.com/fluconazole200.html get 1 200mg capsule per 10g of actual water volume including sump and fuge if you have them and they are a part of your system. Dose at night while fish are resting preferably. I strongly advise reading the main page plus the FAQ following the pics at the 1st thread link I gave you

Thank you for the link. So I have a 40b tank with 20 long sump. About 40lbs of rock. So I'm guessing 45 total gallon of water. I'll need 4 capsules. Should I repeat the treatment after 14 days of treatment?

I think the minimum is 10 capsules. You'll only need to repeat it is if it isn't completely gone, root too. If you get 10 at least you will have them on hand if it gets reintroduced in the future

Ok I'll order 10 capsules. That will leave me with 6. Hopefully I won't have to do it again anytime soon.
