Hairy snail

Just picked up this huge snail without realizing all the algae on him, should I scrub it off before I put em in the tank?

He has a fur coat on! I’d give him a scrub

Personally, I would take a tooth brush to him lol
You have to be very careful doing this, but I have used a dropper and put hydrogen peroxide on the shell (made the snail go into its shell, held him upside down and tried not to get it on him). And

I'd scrub him... take a tooth brush or small bristle brush to him being careful not to get the underside. I like my snails looking clean.
